Pet of the Week Entries Policy

Collars is thrilled to offer the Pet of the Week competition, where pet owners can showcase their pets and engage with the Pet Care Hub community. This policy outlines the terms and conditions for submitting entries to the competition, including how content is used, voting, and ownership rights.
1. Eligibility for Entry

- Be residents of the countries where Collars operates, including UAE.
- Be members of the Collars Pet Care Hub.
- Be pet owners or guardians of any type of pet, including but not limited to dogs, cats, birds, and small animals.

Employees, contractors, and affiliates of Collars, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate in the competition.

2. Entry Requirements
2.1 How to Enter:
- Participants must submit a photo of their pet along with a short description (max 200 words) that reflects the weekly theme.
- Entries must be submitted through the designated entry form or via direct message in the Pet Care HubWhatsApp group.
- Submissions must include a valid email address for communication purposes.
2.2 Weekly Themes:
Each week will feature a different theme, and entries must be relevant to that theme. Themes may include things like “Pets and Nature,” “Best Dressed Pet,” “Pet's Best Trick,” or “Holiday Spirit,” and will be announced at the start of the week.

2.3 Accepted Content:
- Photos: High-quality images of pets that match the weekly theme. The photos should be clear and suitable for family viewing.
- Descriptions: Descriptions should be family-friendly and relevant to the theme. They should capture something special about the pet’s personality or story related to the theme.
2.4 Limitations:
- One entry per pet per week.
- Multiple submissions for the same pet will not be accepted in the same week. Pets that have already won cannot be re-entered for another 6 months.
3. Judging and Voting Process
3.1 Selection Process:
- Pet of the Week will be selected by a panel of guest judges and, in some weeks, sponsors.
- All eligible entries will be reviewed based on the creativity, charm, and relevance of the entry to the weekly theme.
- Three runners-up will also be selected each week and displayed in the Pet Care Hub WhatsApp group for community voting. The community will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite runner-up entry, but the winner will be chosen based on a combination of judging panel assessment and voting results.

Collars ensures that the selection process remains impartial, and guest judges or sponsors will be briefed to ensure a fair and transparent review process.

4. Prize and Rewards
4.1 Prize for the Winner:
- The winner of the Pet of the Week competition will receive:
- A featured post on the Collars website and social media platforms.
- A certificate recognizing the pet as Pet of the Week.
- A gift or voucher which may vary each week depending on available sponsors and prizes (e.g., pet care products, discounts, or experiences).

- The prizes for Pet of the Week may vary from week to week, depending on sponsors, themes, and promotions.

- The winner will be notified via email and announced in the Pet Care Hub WhatsApp group.
- The winner must claim their prize within 30 days of notification. Failure to claim the prize within this period will result in the prize being forfeited, and another winner may be selected.
